Honey Tallow Butter - Essential oil free
We love this Tallow Balm for an exfoliating face treatment and moisturizer for sensitive skin. Our tallow is rendered right here on our farm - not from a container. No, not all tallow is created equally. A lot of tallow sold on the market is mixed with dimethylpolysiloxane to reduce foaming. We get our beef suet from a local farm from grass-fed grass finished beef.
If you didn’t know, tallow balm mimics your skin barrier. This is one of the most powerful benefits of tallow balm—and why it’s a skincare “superfood.” The chemical makeup of high-quality tallow balm is extremely similar to our own skin’s DNA. This is what makes it so bioavailable—and why research suggests it can help support wound healing and reverse skin damage.
In addition it also:
Is Rich in Vitamins A, D, E, and K - Vitamin A is a natural retinol while vitamin K supports the fight of free radical damage.
Has natural linoleic acid - This stuff is so powerful that skincare companies are making linoleic acid face products. Little do they know it naturally occurs in tallow balm. Linoleic acid is an omega-6 fatty acid and antioxidant that works to moisturize, plump, and fight inflammation. Research suggests it can also help to reduce acne, minimize scarring, and support rebuilding of the skin barrier.
Is naturally anti-Inflammatory and anti-bacterial - It won’t strip your skin of good bacteria. But it will still target the bad stuff and help remove it. Anti-inflammatory properties sweep in to help calm redness, acne, and other inflammation.
Research suggests it can naturally increase collagen production
It won’t clog your pores - High-quality tallow balm is non-comedogenic, which means it works with your skin’s natural barrier, instead of against it. Even though tallow balm has a thick and creamy texture, it shouldn’t clog pores or lead to breakouts.
This Whipped Honey Tallow Butter is essential oil-free and infused with Chamomile grown in the Berger Hollow garden - great for sensitive skin. We also add local raw honey which can have the following benefits for skin:
Antibacterial- Honey can help balance bacteria on the skin, which can be beneficial for acne.
Anti-inflammatory- Honey can help soothe redness and uneven skin tones.
Anti-aging- Honey's antioxidants can help protect the skin from environmental damage and prevent signs of aging.
Moisturizing- Honey absorbs moisture from the air and locks it into the skin.
Exfoliating- Honey can remove dry, dull skin and reveal new skin cells.
Lightening- Honey contains a small amount of hydrogen peroxide, which can help lighten scars and hyperpigmentation.
We render our tallow at a low temperature several times for several days. Then we mix in our jojoba oil infused with Chamomile from the Berger Hollow garden, add in our honey and essential oils and whip until fluffy.

When temperatures are above 75F, your tallow orders may be exposed to heat and may melt or soften. Like other fats or oils, tallow is solid at room temperature, rock hard when refrigerated and liquid at warm temperatures. All of the containers are leak-proof. This does not effect the efficacy of your tallow but it can effect the texture making it feel a tad gritty. If your balm arrives melty, just stick it in the fridge to harden up. If it arrives rock hard, it should soften at room temperature or even between your warm fingers.

Store in a cool, dry place to maintain freshness. Does not need refrigeration.
